Note that Paulette is wearing the famous diamond and emerald bracelet that Chaplin supposedly gave to her when she lost the role of Scarlett O'Hara in
Gone With The Wind. She must have adored this piece of jewelry because she wore it often (see more photos
here). She even wore it in her first scene in the 1939 film
