I just want to check in and let everyone know what's going on with me. My elderly mother-in-law has recently come to live with us. She broke her hip a few weeks ago, had hip replacement surgery, and is now thankfully on the mend. But she can no longer live on her own. It's going to take some time for all of us to adjust to living together, and caring for her is going to be an all day job for my husband and me. Have I mentioned that she's 102? (She was born the same day The Tramp was released). Up until a month ago she was living in an apartment, playing Bridge almost everyday, and taking care of herself. She's quite a lady.*
This last year has been crazy and my blog has taken a backseat to all of it. I may never have the time to devote to it that I used to. That's sad for me because I enjoy it. But I'll still be posting when I can. I'm not ready for a "goodbye" post just yet.
Much love to you all,
Jess
*For the record, my husband is only in his 60s, he isn't 80 as some people assume by the age of his mother!
