During an interview with Harry Carr in 1925, Chaplin was asked what he considered the best pictures ever made. His response included four films, three of which were directed by Griffith: Birth Of A Nation, Intolerance, and Hearts Of The World. The fourth film was Josef Von Sternberg's Salvation Hunters.
